    How attendance is recorded

    From the room to the record.

    JoinThe first event from the room: someone has come in. Connected time starts when both people are there.
    Drop · rejoinA connection is lost and comes back. The gap between those two events is not counted as connected time.
    LeaveThe last event: the room empties. With at least five shared minutes, the session is settled as completed.
    Join and leave

    Amazon Chime SDK publishes an event when someone joins, leaves or drops.

    TEEI combines the events into the time people were connected together.

    Settled session

    A one-to-one session is completed when both people shared at least five minutes.

    By 14 October 2026, 1,440 one-to-one sessions had been settled as completed this way.
